Thanks to a Modern Multistate Conservation Grant to improve national capacity for R3, the International Hunter Education Association (IHEA-USA) has been afforded the opportunity to extend to each state one license for both Slack and our associated Digital Asset Management System.
With your free Slack account, your department will have instant access to communicate to Hunter Education and R3 professionals in every state with a free smartphone and tablet app as well as a desktop plugin and online access from your preferred search engine. You can create private rooms for more sensitive conversations, and you will be able to join public conversations with as many or as few other state agency staff as you choose.
Collaborate on projects, share best practices, or simply ask for advice or ideas from your peers across states and departments. Slack has been used for years to help large companies with remote offices stay in touch and bring people together to increase efficiency and partnership.
We can roll this out to each state marketing team with only one license at this time, but if feedback shows this is a helpful tool, we will look into ways to bring additional licenses to your teams as needed.
Please reach out to Andrew Smith at ASmith@IHEA-USA.org with a contact from your agency to act as the main collaborator on this project.
Please provide the following in your email so that we may create your account correctly:
-
- Full Name
- Title
- Associated State
- Email (this becomes your username)
- Any affiliated groups, Boards, etc.
For more information about Slack, watch this tutorial video.
Frequent communication is foundational to collaboration and overcoming current challenges we all face with travel and budgets. This opportunity was made possible by the new Modern Multistate Conservation Grant Program, which was a direct result of the PR-Modernization effort. Thank you to all who helped make this possible and who supported this R3 project.
Thanks for all you do for the National R3 Movement and our industry. We are excited to see what we can accomplish together!
