What’s New About The Balance Wheel?
The Balance Wheel is a newsletter by communicators for communicators,
and that’s exactly what we want it to continue to be. To ensure every
issue is packed with news you need to know and skills we can all improve,
a subcommittee has been created – as mentioned in the President’s Message
- to help the new editor, Michelle Griffin, identify the best stories
and resources for each issue. This subcommittee will meet every quarter
within one week of the content deadline. Michelle will compile story
ideas she has received from YOU – our ACI members – and present them
to the committee. Committee members will offer guidance and help prioritize
stories for each issue.
Following this meeting, Michelle will contact ACI members to solicit
specific stories. You will find in this issue that two of the articles
were inspired by questions posed on the ACI listserv. We hope this will
continue to be a source of ideas for future issues.
Once all stories are received, Michelle will edit and compile the issue
and work with Nancy Herron to post the newsletter online. Each ACI member
will receive an e-mail announcing the newsletter’s presence on the Web
and a direct link to get there fast!

Deadline for Summer Issue: May 1
Posting of Summer Issue: June 15
Deadline for Fall Issue: Aug 1
Posting of Fall Issue: Sept. 15
