The Balance Wheel: Winter 2003
|
||
PLAN NOW for
|
When: July 24-30, 2003
Where: Buffalo Bill Village Resort
How: Air service to Cody or Billings, Montana (just 106 miles from Cody)
Fifty miles from Yellowstone's east gate, Cody offers incredible scenery
with the Absaroka and Beartooth Mountain ranges. World-class fishing,
wildlife watching, wide-open spaces and public lands are found on the
outskirts of town. Cody is home to the largest history and art museum
between Minneapolis and the West Coast, including the Whitney Gallery
of Western Art, the Cody Firearms Museum, the Plains Indian Museum,
the McCracken Research Library, and the new Draper Museum of Natural
History.
Visitors to Cody Country have a number of sightseeing options, fine dining and entertainment options?most within walking distance of the conference site. Even nightly rodeos during the summer. Yee-ha!
The guiding goal of the 2003 Wyoming conference is to present an agenda packed with expert presenters and trainers, covering a wide range of topics. The committee hopes to include officials from Yellowstone National Park and the Shoshone National Forest, to plan an event at the Buffalo Bill HistoricalCenter and an exciting afternoon and evening of scenery and western cooking away from the conference site as part of ACI's annual fund-raising auction (What are YOU bringing to the auction?).
The committee will assemble a variety of field trips, hopefully to include such activities as river rafting, hiking, biking, horseback riding, a day bus tour of Yellowstone National Park, fishing and other offerings.
Watch ACI’s web site and your mailbox for more conference information coming soon.
We look forward to seeing everyone here in Wyoming!
